Amy Grant has charity, solo and Christmas tours throughout 2010

This fall, Amy Grant is hosting a series of intimate concerts in support of Compassion International, “the world’s largest Christian child development organization that works to permanently release children from poverty,” according to the organization’s website.

Each of the shows offers an art gallery reception complete with photographs, paintings and art that reflect the themes of Amy’s music.

The Pieces of Our Lives tour kicks off on Sept. 28 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston and runs through Oct. 28 at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.

New release from Amy Grant

After seven years without an album, Amy Grant is ready to release her latest work, Somewhere Down the Road.

Grant’s new CD features six new songs plus two previously unreleased songs. It’s been classified as “inspirational pop,” which is her signature to blend music and lyrics that combine folk and gospel styles. The first single, the tender ballad ”Unafraid,” is a prime example.

For fans who would like to gain some insight into the creative process for creating her new album, Grant has recorded a series of ten video webisodes. They are available through her official website, and you can also keep up with Amy’s daily doings by following her on Twitter.
